Milwaukee® Introduces M12 Sub-Scanner™ Detection Tool

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation expands its LITHIUM-ION system with the new M12 Cordless Sub-Scanner™ Detection Tool. The 2290-21 can detect rebar up to 6" deep in concrete, as well as the location and depth of materials beneath gypsum, ceramic tile and marble.

"The Sub-Scanner™ Detection Tool is a complete jobsite solution that is in a class by itself," says Jonathan Morrow, Director Marketing Product Management-Test & Measurement for Milwaukee Electric Tool Company. "It not only detects the location and depth of wood, AC wiring, PEX, PVC, and metals, but includes rebar detection through concrete."

In addition, the M12 Cordless Sub-Scanner™ Detection Tool was designed with a four wheel design for durability and smooth, accurate measurement. The unit also provides an ergonomic handle position for ease of use and a high contrast white-on-black display for clearer readings.

With the introduction of the new Sub-Scanner™ Detection Tool and plans to grow the M12 cordless platform in 2009, Milwaukee® continues its growth as the industry leader in the sub-compact category. The M12 platform offers innovative solutions in power, speed, and portability.
