I have owned Many tool from Milwaukee in the past and was thoroughly disappointed, the batteries didn't last and were very poor in quality. But the new M18 is a 180 degree difference. Beings as i currently do not own any milwaukee tools, but i saw a local store doing a promo to trade in old milwaukee tools and get a heavy discount on new ones. Well since my dad had many milwaukee tools he did not like nor use he traded them in to give the new ones a try, He loves them and well i'm jealous.

Good at the start...

Had great power to start off with when new, ran forever (I think that the Ah rating may have been understated). However, after about 3 months use, in the same conditions as the other 4 regular (li-ion) batteries i own, it has half the life, and doesn't want to recharge, but will if left on the charger long enough, about 5 or 6 hours. The others, some of which are over a year old, have no memory and continue to run as new. I may have gotten a bad apple, but it seems suspicious to me that the only battery in 5 to have problems is that one, and brand new as well.
