This radio replaces a Makita job site radio I had that died. The unit is a bit bigger than the Makita so I had to clear a bit more space on the shelf in my workshop. Sound quality is great and the unit appears to be very solid/durable, although I haven't dropped or thrown it yet to test this out (and I'll try to avoid dropping or throwing it in future). The radio appears more solid than my old Makita. I use this almost exclusively as my workshop radio and so I leave it plugged into the AC supply all the time. I don't care that it doesn't have a built in charger because it will only rarely, if ever, be run on batteries anyway.

    Comments about Milwaukee Jobsite Radio:

Very powerfull radio/mp3 player..I was on site last week and most of the other contractors said how good it looks and how loud it goes..battery's arent a problem because ive got 18v and 28v battery's..the only problem ive come across is that it isnt dab and when in a building the reception isn't that good..I like the aux out put so you can charge phones etc but where is the USB port as it says in the description it has 1?? Overall I'm impressed with the radio

            Comments about Milwaukee Jobsite Radio:

I bought this radio for use in the home and in my garage. It has seen very light use and has never been exposed to dampness or moisture. I was pleased with it at first. The sound quality was decent. For the size of it I was surprised that it wouldn't play very loud. But when you look at the speaker size it makes sence. This is more case than anything. The first real problem I had with it was no sound at all coming from the unit. After looking it over for a while I found the corner of mute button had slipped under the cover when it was depressed. This resulted in it being pressed continually. I slid the button over and it popped back out. No harm done it worked again. The other night I was listening to the stereo with my iPod attached when it just stopped making any sound. I thought my iPod battery was exhausted. But after checking that I found it was half charged and operational. Since then the stereo will not play anything. Radio or aux input. I'm looking for the manual for it online to take it apart and hopefully find a fuse somewhere or something. I've tried everything I can think about. But other than the clock nothing works. It's extremely diss appointing to me and I would not buy this again. For a rugged looking radio to drop out after only a year of life on a shelf where it seldom saw a layer of dust is shocking. In this case I'm sorry to say it is all bark, no bite for the millwaulkee job site radio. If anyone can help me with the problem I'm having please shoot me an email at [@]. Thanks guys.

Its a Great radio. I especially like the aux input feature. but it doesnt charge any of the batterys that it runs off of. this was a deal breaker that made me return it to the store. I dont understand why this most useful feature would be omitted.

              Comments about Milwaukee Jobsite Radio:

unless you work in an extremely loud environment, this radio should be plenty loud enough. i uses this in a body shop, and had no problem with sound quality at about 60% volume. i like the bass and treble controls, but after about 60%-70% volume, it would start to break up. if it charged batteries while plugged in, it would be perfect. over all, i like it, and until milwaukee comes out with something better, it will be my work radio.
