Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation expands its LITHIUM-ION system with the new M12™ Radio. At only 10-1/2” and 3.5 lbs, the new M12™ Radio is up to 10 times smaller than existing job site radios and delivers the highest reception and signal clarity in the industry. More portable than any of its competitors, the new radio is the perfect solution for job sites, limited work spaces, trailers, work benches, maintenance vehicles and outdoor activities.
“If you were to walk onto a job site today, you would see many analog radios with copper wire, coat hangers, or metal conduit attached to the antennas in a desperate attempt to get clear reception,” says Paul Fry, Director of M12™ for Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. “With the introduction of the first digital processor for job site radios, MILWAUKEE® is exclusively leading the way in reception and sound quality for job site entertainment.”
In addition, premium weatherproof aluminum speakers produce a rich, full sound, while a built in weather sealed MP3 compartment protects MP3 players and other audio devices connected to the docking portal. The radio also features a shock absorbing ABS polymer and steel construction to protect it against weather and abusive job site conditions.
With the introduction of the new radio and plans to grow the M12™ cordless platform in the future, MILWAUKEE® continues to expand its leadership position in the sub-compact category. The M12™ platform will include over 20 tools by the end of 2009 that offer innovative solutions in power, productivity, and portability.
