IV. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND WHAT ARE THE LEGAL BASES?

The Application allows users to connect pipe inspection camera equipment (such as the M18™ 500GB Control Hub). The Application enables the user to view, record, and share inspection footage. We do not have any access to any inspection footage produced during your use of the pipe inspection camera equipment (such as the M18™ 500GB Control Hub) and the Application as the footage is only stored locally on the pipe inspection camera equipment connected to your mobile device. Pipe video materials can be shared by the user via the mobile device connected to the Application.

When using the Application, we process your personal data to the following extent and for the following purposes.

1. Sentry.io

In the Application, we use the error analysis and application monitoring tool from Sentry.io, 45 Fremont St, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States, to detect and fix technical issues in the Application. Sentry.io is an application monitoring and error-tracking platform that provides real-time visibility into software bugs and performance issues by capturing diagnostic data.

In the course of using this tool, the following data are processed:

  • A randomly generated installation ID;
  • Usage metrics (including feature interactions, screen views, session duration, and number of users and sessions, first-time launch, the Application executions, the Application updates, the Application features, networks used, action performed by the user prior to the current Application action, order of pages viewed);
  • Crash reports and error logs;
  • Device information (including OS version, app version, and device type and model);
  • Time and time zone (as derived from coarse location);
  • The coarse location (derived by Sentry.io from the user IP address) including city (and the derived latitude, and longitude of the city), continent, country, region, subcontinent (and ID-based counterparts derived on the IP address (which includes processing of the IP address))

We have enabled Sentry’s default scrubbing and additional custom scrubbing rules. This means that user-specified information (such as company name, job names, file names, video recording labels, hub serial number) are automatically detected and removed before they are sent to Sentry.io.

As part of using Sentry, data may be transferred to Sentry.io in the United States. Sentry.io is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and is therefore covered by the EU Commission's adequacy decision for the USA.

The legal basis for this data processing is your prior consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) 1 lit. a GDPR.
