Milwaukee® Announces Next Generation M12 FUEL Straight Die Grinder, And Extended Model
MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee Tool continues to expand their M12 FUEL™ lineup with the introduction of the next generation M12™ FUEL™ 1/4" Straight Die Grinder and new M12 FUEL™ 1/4" Extended Die Grinder, delivering the performance, control, and access transportation maintenance and metalworking professionals demand. Able to replace pneumatic solutions, these cordless die grinders provide sustained power while eliminating the frustrations of hoses and compressors, allowing professionals to work more efficiently in tight spaces and demanding applications including rust removal, deburring, grinding, cutting, and finishing.
These Straight Die Grinders deliver more sustained power, generating 0.5 HP motor output through Milwaukee’s POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor Technology. Designed for consistent performance and improved torque, both models deliver up to 20,000 RPM, enabling strong material removal with 2" cutting wheels and 3" sanding accessories across automotive and metalworking applications. Delivering more power, longer run-time, and extended tool life, so professionals can maintain productivity throughout the workday without sacrificing performance.
Both solutions provide greater mobility by eliminating pneumatic constraints. The M12 FUEL™ 1/4" Straight Die Grinder is built for more control in precision applications, featuring an improved ergonomic handle that enhances maneuverability and comfort during prolonged use. The M12 FUEL™ GEN 2 1/4" Extended Straight Die Grinder delivers greater mobility with extended access, incorporating a 4" shaft designed to reach deeper into confined or hard to access areas commonly encountered in transportation maintenance, fabrication, and facility repair environments, all without giving up power or performance.
Providing the ability to match tool speed to the application, both die grinders deliver variable speed and precision control to support a wide range of tasks. Four mode RPM control paired with a responsive variable speed paddle trigger allows users to dial in performance across grinding, finishing, sharpening, and beveling applications. Ease of use is further improved with a push button spindle lock for quick, single wrench accessory changes, compatibility with 1/4" shank accessories, and a new shadowless LED work light that maximizes visibility in low light conditions.
