Product Overview

Our Dual Range Non-Contact Voltage Detector is designed to identify voltage anywhere live electricity is present. The expanded sensitivity range offers the ability to detect voltage in common systems that would normally go undetected when using a standard voltage detector. The Dual Range Voltage Detector detects and automatically differentiates low voltage, 12-49V, from higher voltage, 50- 1000V, when in low voltage detection mode. The Voltage Detector provides a yellow indicator when low voltage is detected and a red indicator when high voltage is detected. Voltage is detected between 50V and 1000V and has an industry-leading safety rating of CAT IV 1000V.

  • Lower Voltage Range: 12V - 49V AC

  • Higher Voltage Range: 50V - 1000V AC

  • Reinforced Tip Design for Increased Durability

  • Visual & Audible Voltage Indicators

  • Durable Belt Clip

  • Quarter Turn Cap for Easy Battery Replacement

  • CAT IV 1000V Safety Rating

  • IP54: Water and Dust Protection

  • Powered by (2) AAA Batteries

  • 2-Year Warranty

Product FAQ

Q:

What voltage range does the detector cover?

A:

The 3208-20 Dual Range Voltage Detector is capable of detecting voltages from 12V to 49V AC and 50V to 1000V AC.

Q:

Is this tool safe for live wire testing?

A:

Yes, this model is designed for non-contact voltage detection, making it safe for identifying live wires without direct contact.

Q:

Does the tool require batteries?

A:

Yes, the detector operates on two AAA batteries, which are included in the package.

Q:

How do I know if the detector is working properly?

A:

Before use, test the detector on a known live circuit to ensure it is functioning correctly.

Q:

What is the difference between the 3208-20 and 3203-20 models?

A:

The Milwaukee 3208-20 and 3203-20 are both dual range voltage detectors, capable of detecting voltages from 12-49V and 50-1000V AC. The 3203-20 also has an LED worklight that is independently operable from the detection mode.

Q:

Can this be used to detect DC Voltage?

A:

No, non-contact voltage detectors are intended for AC voltage only.

Q:

What is the warranty on these tools?

A:

Milwaukee voltage detectors have a two-year limited warranty.
